MG MGA - Gearbox cover cross brace
In an archived thread I discovered that there are 2 stamped steel braces which go across the gearbox cover from the handbrake attachment to the other side, passing under the drive shaft. If anyone has pictures of these could you please post them. I am missing the parts and they seem to be unavailable so I may have to make them. |

I knew I had this drawing lying around somewhere. See here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/frame/fr120.htm |

Thanks Barney, that's exactly what I need. I don't know how I failed to find it on your site seeing as I visit it so much!! There is a drawing in the original workshop manual, fig MMM9 which shows how the parts are fitted but not enough information there to fabricate one. |

Well Keith, it's mystical. If you ask for something that's not on my site, a new web page magically appears. That's exactly how it got to be 1300+ MG tech pages (and obviously still growing). |
