MG MGA - Gunson Trakrite Wheel Alignment Gauge

I've never seen anything like this but it looks interesting.

It used to be very common for alignment shops and vehicle inspection stations to have a larger version of this machine wide enough to drive both wheels over with the meter a few feet off the floor at one end. A trigger plate on the front edge would set the meter to zero, then continue to drive across and get am immediate direct reading.

I don't know how accurate this gunson tool is with the single skid plate, but I suspect it should work well, especially if you're looking for zero tow in.
