MG MGA - Happy Birthday!

Tomorrow is my MGA's 53rd birthday. Hooray!

(Yes, this is a totally self-serving post.)

Happy Birthday to you Dave, er, no your car. Uh, well the car looks good!
James Johanski

She looks great for her age Dave, no wrinkles visible anywhere. Lovely car mate.
May I ask one question. Are the whitewalls on the tyres the removeable flap type or built in on the tyre wall?

Hi Ken,

Thanks mate for the offer. I shall have a chat with Charles tomorrow and see if there is anything we need between us. Are we talking about used or new parts, or both? Will come back to you in the next two or three days.

It's actually Glacier Blue. photography doesn't do it justice. It's a very subtle shade and I've never been able to photograph it well.

Frank, those tires are BF Goodrich Silvertown Radials (actually made by Michelin). The whitewalls are molded in. They were on order for several months. The factory makes up a batch when they have enough orders (several thousand). I've been really happy with them. The car came with whitewalls new, and although that's not something people usually associate with sports cars (especially outside the US) I think the car looks really good with them on, especially with such a 1950's color of paint. Here are some pictures relating to both the tires and the paint:
