MG MGA - Heat Shield for Carburetors

I just installed a heat shield under the carbs on my 1500. I put the metal side up (toward the carbs) and the fabric side down. Is this correct? I had first installed the rebuilt carbs on my rebuilt engine and then discovered the heat shield. Mine is a basket case, so everything is a puzzle.

That is correct, make sure you also have the proper heat spacers betwen you intake manifolsd and carbs as well!
