MG MGA - Help in Birmingham

My sons and I just got through rewiring my 60 A. Doing it yourself is great fun....except when it doesn't work. I am not sure what to do next. There were one or two wires we weren't too sure about, but we aren't even juice to the ignition switch, nor from the starter to the engine. I was wondering if there is anyone near Birmingham, Alabama that might be able to help me figure out whats wrong. Call me and let me what brand you like to drink. For all I know, it may be something very simple (Gd I hope so).
Thanks,
Jack

This may seem way to obvious but make sure the battery is charged. Then recheck your wires and do a continuity test on each one to make sure your connections and wires are good.

Jack, if you can't find someone close then give us the color of the wires and the locations of the ends in the cars harness. We might be able to get some idea from looking at the schematic. Wish I could help, but KC's just too far away from you at today's gas prices.

Jack, email me and I will send out the information on contacting you through local clubs, I am in Tuscaloosa, but should be able to find someone in Birmingham. I have a 62 I drive around town. I also have a 1960 unrestored with 72K original miles to restore in the future and a 1958 restoration started, but plan to sell. My club site is www.wabcc.net

An update. I charged the battery, but that was the problem afterall. We put my son's battery in and the car started right up!!! Such sweet music. HOWEVER.... it seems as though there is something amiss with the right side lights. I haven't really had a chance to study it yet, but maybe someone here has had the same problem. The right front turn signal and the entire right rear light system don't work. The right headlight works, and all the left side lights work. Just thinking about it, it seems as though there must be a misconnected wire that affects the right side electrical system. The gas gauge isn't working but it wasn't before. But I have replaced the sending unit and it is hooked up, so it might be part of the same wiring.
If anyone has had this problem, any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the update Jack, glad to hear it's running.
