MG MGA - Heritage Upholstery
Has any one had problems with Heritage Upholtery? I received a complete interior kit that a customer had ordered and it was missing the rubberized horsehair seat back padding. After a number of calls and emails I finally got a call back. They basically told me that I didn't know what I was doing and should send the seats to them to be upholstered! I cannot convince them of the missing parts. |

I wasn't aware that any interior kits came with the horsehair padding. The one I got from Moss didn't have any. I found some at a local upholstery fabric outlet. |

Jeff, The horsehair padding that I refer to is not actually horsehair. In the Moss parts book, they refer to it as "rubberized horsehair". To me, it looks more like dark brown Shreaded Wheat cereal. |

That is the stuff I am talking about. I don't know if it is actually horse hair, but the stuff I found is a rubberized fiber pad. It looked like this except it was grey. http://www.perfectproductsonline.com/rubberizedhair.html It wasn't thick enough, so I glued several layers together and it worked out fine. I don't know if this is available at most upholstery shops, or if I just got lucky at the outlet. But anyway, nothing like this was included in my Moss interior kit when I got it 6 years ago. I don't even know if they had it in their catalog back then. |

I think they treat that as a diffrent component and it must be ordered as a specific item. Most interior kits do not include the "guts" needed to actually rebuild the seat. |
