MG MGA - I don't think my heart can take this...

Someone will start reproducing them if the price stays that high |

Someone already is reproducing them with the authorisation of the Judson company. http://www.btinternet.com/~pre67vw/Judson_Boost_Gauge.htm |

The one on ebay was probably one of the new ones, with the seller making a tidy profit. I made my own using an Autometer gauge for the works, with a casing and face etc. from a B or midget small gauge, and the face card printed onto a piece of 200g card. Cost was about 60 USD for the whole thing including all the plumbing. Pictures on my website. I can provide either 15lb or 7lb boost faces |

The unit on Ebay was an original, 30 inch vacuum to 15 psig, the one Jeff shows is the new one made for Judson. If you look at the Ebay gauge housing, the case rolls outward at the bezel while it has a clean cut on the new gauges. One thing that should be noted is that Judson Research and Manufacturing is still(back?) in business and looking for people who will manufacture original repair parts, if you can do it. The new gauge that Jeff shows is technically not a reproduction since it is manufactured through Judson corporation. |

Originality is nice I suppose but $880 for an original $240 for the new one I would feel pig sick if I had spent all that on the original then some one on the forum tells me me you can get a new one for 1/4 of the price Incidently I got mine from Mocal £40 and put a chrome smiths bezel on the front David |

I would feel pig sick if I spent $880 for a used gauge, and $240 is still too much for my blood for a new gauge. I can do very well thank you with a standard compound gauge, and in fact I'm working on doing just that. |
