MG MGA - I need new pistons
I'm looking for a set of AE pistons, #14039 +.030" for a 1500 block. These are supposed to be 9:1 flat top pistons. My engine shop usually uses Engle but for some reason he can't get them any more (maybe just out of stock at this time). Anyone know of a source for these? Thanks, George. |

George. You might want to contact Chris Betson at Octarine Services. Chris has had some problems with the more recent AE pistons and recommends the use of County brand pistons. However, he should be able to get you what you need or point you in the right direction. Just installed a set of his cylinder head studs and rocker arm studs on an MGB engine. Much better quality rocker arm studs than are available from the usual suspects here in the US. The cylinder head studs, too, are supposed to be made of upgraded steel with a better threading job.
