MG MGA - Insrument restoration
Ive purchased a full set of gauges from a soon to be crushed 1956 MGA. I would like to have them restored to close to original working condition. Would any of you suggest one or another that does a resonably good restoration at a resonable price? I posted this by mistake on another thread (mga twin cam) |

Thanks for that link. I emailed them some questions this morning, and they replied right away. |

Tom - Do you have a decent speedometer from the old car? I'm in the market for one. The odometer on mine was not working so I took the speedo apart and the two drive gears (one for trip and one for main odometer) were both stripped. Number disks are pretty faded so I am not sure a rebuild is really worth it. (Plus I am not sure I can get it all back together!) My car is a driver so I don't need show quality, just good functionality. Steve |

Tom, You might give MOMA in Albuquerque a call. They have done all my gauges and I am very pleased. Phone: 505-766-6661. Have a good day! John |

For MGA instruments I would use Nisonger or West Valley Auto Electrics. Some also like Moma. http://westvalleyautoelectronics.com/ |
