MG MGA - interior kits

Looking for the collective experience on interior kit choice. I have the headliner installed, but now need to do seats, side panels, carpet, etc. Seems that Moss and SF offer such in their catalogs; Heritage, for some reason, shows nothing for MGA on the web site but I think they expect you to call them in that case (not ideal IMO). I also wonder about the foam seat bases and foam/horsehair seat backs. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks, George

George, I bought the seat foam and back kits from Moss (LBCarCo) and was quite satisfied with them.
The carpet kit was another matter. Lots of trimming needed and very poor fit round the gear lever.

Hi George
I bought seat covers from PJM and was very pleased with them.
Put pjm auto trimmers in your search engine and see what they can do for you.

George,
I bought my kit from Heritage. They do have some pictures of MGA interiors on their website. https://www.heritagetrim.com/mg/

You do have to call them to order. I’m very pleased with their quality. The down side is their lead time is very long and their communication is poor.

That said, if I had another MGA interior to do, I’d order from Heritage.

Hi

I got mine from Aldridge Trimming UK, excellent quality and service.

Thanks for your comments. Moss seems to supply a plywood backing for the door panels/cards, instead of fiberboard. Has anyone experience with these?

Also, I do have the metal plates that apparently are also used behind the panel fabric. Can anyone describe how these are used relative to the fabric and the plywood/fiberboard backing to the fabric?

Thanks, George

Hi George

See Barney’s CP-117 for details of door panels.

Thanks again all. I have looked at Barney's site, informative as always. Has anyone done the door panels without use of the metal plates, and still retain the original look to the panel?

I used Mirror Trim for brand new roadster seats. Very good.

George, another option is a kit from Sports & Classics in CT; they sell Buckingham Classic interior kits. That's where I purchased my leather kit. They even modified it so that I could have full leather cockpit trim as well; they're great to work with:
