MG MGA - Jacks, Jacks & more Jacks!!
Have a look at this lot Mr Gyles! Set the heart racing? Everything but the elusive Shelley! I did look carefully at each and every one. Found them at a Steam engine Rally in the bush while on a trip in the motorhome. Not one Shelley! For a brief moment I thought I had made a fortune. Barry |

Hi Barry Good to see you back from the outback & bush. The jacks look like the Australian version of the Chinese Terracotta Army!! Cheers Steve |

And did you remember to look for King Dick too? There is one on the floor back against the bank (1st photo) about third from right that looks a lot like it could be a K-D. What was the average price for these? Cheers, Matthew. |

Barry, Good to see you are back in time for the Chilly Willy Run on 9 Aug Regards Mike |

Barry, What kind of Shelley jack are you looking for? I have three origional jacks that came with my cars. Two are King Dick and one is a Shelley. They are all almost identical. Have a good day! John |

Barry, You may have created a new collective noun for jacks - a Gannon of Jacks! Mike |

Thanks Steve, I really did get excited - at first! Matthew, I forgot about the King Dick. None were for sale - just a great display from a bushie bloke in Barooga. John P, thanks for the offer, but I have a reliable jack. m.j. or perhaps a 'Jumble of Jacks'? Barry |

Here is my Shelley tool and jack collection. Cheers, Matthew. |

Matthew The one on the right looks like an LJ31, not an MGA jack but an excellent jack with the right height for getting under an MGA with a flat tyre. It was normally issued with the Morris Minor GPO van and possibly other Minor variants. I am interested in the 2 on the left. Could you supply me with some more details and preferably individual photos for my website: http://www.mgaroadster.co.uk/shelley_jacks.htm The one on the left is unknown to me and the one in the middle looks like a Shelley 8 inch, neither MGA. Cheers Steve |

Other side: 9" Commercial CBS (trademark) Where handle connects: R T Shelley Oil Jack Freely Centre Jack. Facing camera: 20 (?? small, hard to read) Shelley. Other side: 8 Inch Right Jack. Facing camera: Shelley LJ31 1955. Other side: 1. Cheers, Matthew. PS. Here is a picture of my King Dick adjustable spanners. |
