MG MGA - Leather steering wheel cover

I'm trying to find a black leather steering wheel cover for the standard MGA steering wheel and I can't find it on Moss or LBC.

I don't want a wrap cover but a stitched one, anybody know where to find it?

Moss used to sell them. Maybe they discontinued it.

I don't remember paying that much, but I put one on mine about 6 years ago.

That is incredibly annoying.

I typed the EXACT words "Leather Steering Wheel Cover" into the search box and it came back with nothing.

I've noticed that before with both LBC and Moss searches.

Oops.....

Thanks Jeff!

I have an 80 LE that came with the LE steering wheel, but recovered with one of those horrible looking and uncomfortable wraps. I ordered a cover from Victoria British. It didn't fit so I used a cheap nylon one from a local autoparts store for the time being. The one from Victoria British was nice quality leather with all the cord, needles and instructions on different styles of stitching.

I tried the same internet search and came up nothing. The manufacturer of the cover is Superior Industries and the product name is "Superskin". Using that information on Google, I found them on the web. You should be able to reach them and get the right size and fit. Note that the diameter of the wheel is important, but so is the circumference of the wheel rim which is the problem with the one that I got. On the website, I noticed there are different sizes for different rim circumferences. I think I paid about $15 for the cover, so it's a good value.

I put on a leather stiched cover that I bought at a local Pep-Boys or AutoZone shop. Maybe $20 or so for the cover -- don't remember now.

I first wrapped the steering wheel with cloth bicycle tape to make it a bit thicker, then stiched the leather cover over that -- more comfy on my hands. Be sure to use black bike tape.

Came out pretty well.

Yep. The Moss web site is darned difficult to use. Lesse, something positive: Beats the heck out nothing...
