MG MGA - Les, I Need the AZ Used MG Parts Company Again!
Several months ago I asked for a source of used MGA / MGB parts. I think it was Les Bensen who forwarded me the name of two brothers in Arizona who sell used mg parts. I have misplaced the name, address, phone number of the firm. I need another late MGA or early MGB three main engine backing plate. Les, can you resend me the info? THANKS! Found Les Bengston's reply and the name and phone number I needed of the MG salvage yard in Arizona in the MGB Tech Archives (where I had also posted the request). |

Why not repost it in the MGA section for the future benefit of MGA owners looking for the same info? |

Derek Do you know if British Auto in Macedon, NY (near Rochester)is still operating? They had hundreds of British cars in their salvage yard. |

All. Please be aware that Bob and Gil are serious MGA enthusiasts. Thus, they are more than willing to turn loose of their stock of MGB parts, they are somewhat more careful of getting rid of MGA parts. They have just completed a long restoration of one MGA and are, someday, planning the restoration of a Mark II deluxe. They also have an A-H 100-6, a Morgan +8 and an old Jaguar of some description in the queue. They are an excellent resource for all MGB parts and many Triumph parts. MGA parts, on the other hand, are more difficult to pry loose. Les |

Sorry, John. I've never done business with them. They had a website ( http://www.roverv8.com ) that I haven't looked at in years. I see it's not working any more. This used to be their contact info:- British Auto Salvage 600 Penfield Road, Macedon New York 14502 USA Tel: (800)-458-4575 Contact: Mark Voelckers Anyone from Rochester reading this with current info? |

British Auto in NY was up and running last September. I was in Syracuse on Business and took some free time to drive down. There was a great selection with just about everything you could think of. Mark and the family were very courteous and professional as well. I found several things I (wanted) needed but was afraid I would not have space to bring it back. Fortunately he can ship the items without problems. If you are ever in the area I suggest taking a look. I spent half the day there just searching. |
