Gordon

I presume you mean this one:

We are getting quite a reputation in this forum for our comments!

It looks nice enough from what can be seen from the pictures. I am a fan of BRG and it looks close to my shade so a plus there. I prefer a lighter interior, but that's my preference.

I am intrigued by the Shelley Jack in the boot. This was supplied with early 1500 cars. This car should have a conical-shaped Shelley jack LJ250 and painted orange!

All in fun

The car is a very nice car. Not an original colour but who cares the factory would paint your car any colour you wished if you paid them. The wire wheels do not appear original they are to far out, IMO they could be a bolt on conversion. The car I believe is described perfectly and at the moment the price is not far off.
Bob (robert) I am turning? yes I once owned an MGWasp!!

I would only be concerned regarding the engine compartment, as there are no pictures of it.

I sent the seller a question- he said in the description that there is/are pictures of the engine compartment, but none there- we'll see if he adds a picture of the engine--

It just sold for £10,500 ($18,900).

That type of jack, with gears, was on my two year old 1960 MGA1600 (a long time ago now...)
I believe only the MkII's had the conical Shelley jack...

Pete,
Back in the late 60's and early 70's I had a 1960 and a 1961 MGA1600 and both of them had the orange conical Shelly jacks. I think that earlier 1600's would have had a King Dick jack and only the early 1500's had the external geared Shelley like Steve said. Here are some good pictures of Shelly and King Dick jacks. http://www.britishtool.com/origtool.htm
