MG MGA - Lucas 78106A spark plug connectors
Does anyone have any experience with Brown and Gammons Lucas plug connectors? Are they reproductions? Can't seem to find them anywhere else.Since the last time I drove the car I have had 3 of them go bad. I was in the process of fitting my rebuilt distributor and for the life of me could not get it started, thinking I did something wrong. Checked #1,had spark. Guess which one was the only one that was working? https://www.ukmgparts.com/product/twin-midcat-1-twin14-ignition/plug-cap-3h1422 |

gary- they have a resistor inside that make them into supressors, and that is where they go bad from corrosion at either end of the tiny resistor inside. I have seen these made new with no resistor, which eliminates the corrosion problem, and then you can use a resistor spark plug instead if you want to listen to the radio. But, that was years ago I saw those. Have you seen this article about them in general? http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/ignition/ig113.htm |

I did see that Sam,but thanks anyway. I like them for the look, don't need them for the suppression. If I could find them without that would be great. I was hoping that the new ones were made better---- |
