MG MGA - Lucas DR3A wiper motor
Will the DR3A motor fit in place of the DR2? It looks the same, and is it the 2 speed version, as it was installed in early MGB's? There appears to be additional wiring, but I have seen earlier threads in regard to this. |

I can provide the wiring diagram for fitting a two speed B motor in the same place as that for the original motor. You need a different switch but it is a BIG improvement over an original motor (which is pathetic at keeping teh screen dry in any more than a shower) |

Gary, I have fitted a DR3A, fits and works as the DR2. |

Dominic, Can you e-mail information on this. I presume a headlight switch is used, one position for slow and one for high. Gary, does the motor work the same and at the same speed, or is the slow speed still better than a DR2 and fast speed clears the window in heavy rains? |

It's a B wiper switch ( the A headlight switch does not have the correct switching behaviour). I have mine mounted under the dash, as the normal spot is occupied by a Judson boost gauge. I'll dig out the diagram and mail it, though I think Les has it on his page. |

The DR3A is 2 speed or not? Dominic, I think I have your wiring instructions from an earlier thread..at the moment, I just want to know if its a 2 speed. |

Can anyone confirm if the DR3A is a 2 speed motor? |
