MG MGA - Master Cylinder Metal Caps

I know that some of you are after the MC metal caps.

There are a couple of auctions on Ebay at the moment for Mini Cooper master cylinder metal caps. They look remarkably similar to the one I have on my MGA.

£50 - you must be joking - I nearly chucked mine away when I got my car as it was rusty and battered - I have since straightened it out and plated it and it looks quite presentable - I will treasure it now!!

Cam, I did the same--but now I am removing the cap and replacing it with a plastic one. I am putting the cap in my safe box at the bank. Best investment I have right now!

I normally leave the engine compartment open if I am at an event, so that people can see the supercharger and compare the engine compartment to the standard cars nearby. I'll have to rethink that if a simple cap is so expensive (over $150 with three hours to go.....) and so easily palmed by a dishonest visitor.

On my car there is too little space to fit a plastic cap.
