MG MGA - Master cylinder removal
Can anyone advise the best/easiest way to remove the brake/clutch master cylinder please. Thank you |

Use a squeeze bulb (turkey baster) to remove as much fluid as possible from the reservoir. Pull the clevis pins, and remove the push rods. Place some rags under the unit to catch any fluid spills. Remove two large bolts, and pull the unit forward slightly (bending the pipes a bit in the process). Then unscrew the pipe fittings from the master cylinder. |

Thanks Barney. I thought of trying your way, rather than trying to access the 4-way union below, so reassurance that it is possible is great. |
