MG MGA - MG Rover gone bust

HI guys, well MG Rover gone bust,no cash,only old models and the MG variants are just badge engineered,and the Mazda mx3 is better built than the TF..................Derek sorry guys am now a V8 owner

You know it tears at my automotive heart strings to read about this. Ford bought Jaguar and Rover (Land) and their first attempt with Jag screwed up but then they got smart and went back to respect Jag's heritage with a proper design for the 'S'Type and XJ but have screwed up on the ""X TYPE"". Now they are beginning to screwup on the Land Rover (ne-Freelander).
I have owned Brit cars as every day transport since 1956 when I bought a 1952 MGTD. I spent 42 yrs in Auto design for the Ford/GM/Chrysler outfits and none of them get the message. They thought the roof grab handle was for getting in and out of the car!!! The MG has such a strong identity in USA that if the Miata/RX7/AudiTT/BMWR3/BMWR8/240Z's/even lexus copy, had been MG's they would have sold many times more cars. It's almost like the passing of the Pope. All these wannabe's will be around slogging in the nowhere land of motoring and the Prince (MG) that ignited it all will ride off into the yonder. And hopfully I will ride off with my MG.
