MG MGA - MGA action photos!

While you guys in the US are snowed-in and in the UK it is too wet and cold to go out in you cars, you may as well go through your photos and find a couple of action shots to post here to relieve the boredom!
To start the ball rolling, see me having fun at our club driver training day at Sandown Racecourse a couple of months ago.

Mike

No rain in NW England but certainly cold by our normal standards. Still using the car, although I try to avoid days when the roads are heavily salted. I don't rally or race, so no actions shots like yours. The one I have attached I took enroute to Le Mans 2005 (50 years of MGA). There are about 10 other MGAs in convoy ahead and a similar number behind. It is approaching a bridge in Normandy, Northern France. Bit of a trick holding on to the wheel and taking a photo.

Steve,

Shouldn't you be driving on the other side of the road in France? Or are both lanes in the same direction?

I am on the right hand lane. It is a dual carriageway. That is an emergency pull off area/cycle/pedestrian section on the right.

This year the only action around my MGA is the spiders building their webs on it in the workshop. So far I haven't been able to get any photos of them at work! Looks like you were having fun though.
Bill Young

Looks like fun!

It is so good to see so many BRG MGA's. Maybe I'll now have to repaint mine Red just to be different ;>)
C Schaefer

Here you go- This at Hallet Oklahoma 2006 all MG meet. Also had the privelege of meeting Mr. Bill Young. Green car is a TC.

A couple of more shots to follow.

8 MGA's!

I don't get it. Why would a little snow or rain bother anyone with an MGA?

Barney what a wimp, you have the hood up!

12 Years ago my colleague and I took part in the annual LeJog Rally (Lands End to John O'Groats) in the middle of a very cold snap in December. The Rally was 900 miles in 3 days with only one official night stop. Including the transit to and from the rally we covered about 1700 miles. My colleague was in the red 1957 MGA and I was in my 1948 TC. Neither car missed an engine beat nor suffered any other problem during the entire period. A testimony to the ruggedness of these cars. We raised just over £2000 for a local childrens' charity.

Barney, from experience in northwestern pa. in the late 60"s and 70's- snow packed in the wire wheels results in severe wheel imbalance. Of course once you get up to any reasonable speed thiss shakes right out.

This has long been one of my favorite photos of any MG. I don't know where it came from but if I did, I'd sure give due credit.

Cheers - Dennis

If you're going that way, this is one of my favorite photos. I know where this one came from, as I was enjoying every second of it. Three wheels is not ideal, but it's better than two. The rest of the story and one minute video (from a different event) are here: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/suspensn/fs101b.htm

MGAs on the parade lap at Silverstone at the MGCC 50th aniverrary of the MGA, July 2005.
The racing later in the day was a washout but the rain kept off (almost) for our parade. What really surprised me was how narrow the circuit is in places and how difficult it is to judge the corners, even at a quarter of the speed of the formula 1 cars

Ouch Mick - I can just imagine the jolt on landing - how's the driver's/navigator's back now? - excellent photo though - Cheers Cam
Cam Cunningham

Here's my action shot. While not as exciting as all of yours, I am sure it is somewhat familiar to you all.
