MG MGA - MGA Dash Mirror Paint Color
I'm going to try to restore my original Wingard dash mirror. Somewhere, I've seen information on a paint color match for the gold on the mirror but now I cannot find it. Does anyone have this information or know where I can find it? Thanks Jim |

I found the information I had previously seen. It was right under my nose. It's on page 222 of "A-Antics Tech Tips 1976-1988" by the Michigan Chapter of NAMGAR. I haven't tried this yet but thought I would pass this information along. It reads - Repainting Your Rear View Mirror - General Motors 2410 M is close to the original color. Ford 3572 is a bit too brown and Chrysler 4666 L is too yellow. If you are careful, you can spray the Chrysler color first and then a light coat of the Ford to kill the yellow. The Chrysler 4666 is also a good match for the T series mirrors and steering wheel bosses. All these colors are available in small spray cans at auto supply stores." Remember, this information was collected many years ago and these colors may not be currently available. Jim |

I found a color that I think is pretty close. Sent pictures and info to Barney and he put it on his site here - http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/paint/pt105m.htm Jim |
