MG MGA - MGA DIY uphostery update
http://picasaweb.google.com/jim.mail.nh/MGASeats# See pics at site above. I have finished all the sewing for the seats - depending on when you check the link above, I still have a few more pics to upload of the finished backs. I don't have pics of finished seats yet - I still need to tear down the driver's side seat an R&R the seat frame. I got some 2mm ply (for free! - topsheets from the pile which had some marks on them) from a lumberyard in VT to make the interior panels for the doors and kickplates - which are cut out and covered with the vinyl. I haven't made the door pockets yet though - and it will be a while before I am ready to start reassembling the interior anyway. I really do already feel like I've saved myself at least $1000, though! Don't be afraid to tackle this yourself. More to come - stay tuned. JIM in NH |
