MG MGA - MGA Exhaust manifold

I am trying to establish how much an engine can be tuned before the standard A exhaust manifold becomes power limiting. Peter Burgess has proved that the MGA manifold is as good as the B manifold on a standard B 1800 engine. Does anyone have any horsepower figures for tuned engines, especially 1800's, using an A manifold?
