MG MGA - MGA MK II 1600 Brakes
I have changed brake lines and bled the brakes, if I pump the brake pedal it is hard and feels great, when I let off of it and then reapply the brakes the pedal goes to the floor…is this a master cylinder problem?…before I replaced the brake lines I had a dragging brake but I discovered I had a leaking flexible line, I replaced all of them and one of the solid lines, before starting this the brakes felt fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Tony Stefater |

Tony - are you losing any brake fluid - is the level going down in the MC? - Ken |

The pedal should be hard without having to pump it. It could be that you have air in the system somewhere. I would first try bleeding it thoroughly once again. If you can use or borrow an eezibleed system, that may help as it sometimes will push trapped air out more easily. |
