Mark, -- The first two links, id=75089, id=75090, are not EX179. In 1951 that was EX135 with a supercharged 1,250 cc MG TD engine. |

Ah yes... Shame the scripts of the day don't reflect the names of the actual cars. I notice one script says X181 not EX181, this makes text searches difficult. Enjoy !!! |

Interesting in No 1, mechanics wearing ties and looking over rotating engines! |

Excellent old films - but the 1961 Motor Show one shows a 1500 MGA which surely cannot be correct - shouldn't it have the Mk2 by then? cheers Cam |

When I play the films with Adobe Flash Player I keep getting a "Loading" message on the screen every few seconds. Image attached. Why is this? Any cure? I have a fast broadband connection and other films buffer to 100% then play the film without pausing. Mick |

Hi Mick, Yes Adobe products these days try to take over your PC rather like Norton Virus products. Right click the image and select About adobe flash player xx I have version 10 : "You have version 10,0,22,87 installed" Hope this helps Mark. |

Mark, Wonderful films many thanks for sharing them. Regards David |
D Townshend |
great films, I particularly liked the Alpine Rally film. I wish I had the confidence in my car, and my ability to do that. I had the Adobe problem with only the last two films! Any reasons why? |
Nigel Munford |
When I was 19 I lived in France and raced for a French cycling team. I got to do many of the bigger races in the Pyrenees and Alps and watching the film of the Alpine Rally reminded me of how frightening the descents were in the mountains ,and that was when the roads were paved! I can't imagine doing those descents on dirt roads in an MGA with bias ply tires. Thanks for the great films, Matt |
MG Grover |
Loved the Montlhery one (first film in second post). Driver Frank Wharton managed to take off the rear bumper sometime during the speed test, and then put it back on again before the end of the hour. |
Nick |
Well, it was a publicity film. I only wonder which part of it was fudged, the bumper on or bumper off scenes (or maybe both). Pretty sure no one had time to change it during the one hour 100 mph test. |

Mark Great films. Thanks for finding them The text is sometimes quite uninformed! The first of your second batch of four describes a Raleigh Pathfinder (I thought they made bikes!) and an Austin Healy David |
David Marklew |
David, it must be an ear infection on your part and a typo on the website. The car is actually a Riley Pathfinder. Just kidding about the ear infection. |
Chuck Schaefer |
Mark, have you thought about putting all these clips onto a DVD for sale?..maybe copyright problems? |
Gary Lock |
Big Copyrights problems I would say and especially as I work for one of the media companies who hold the copyrights. I should put those links on one of my web pages, but I'm sure others already have. Good to see there being enjoyed but as I said earlier there are more if you spend the time looking. The main problem is that the word "MG" does not search well.
