MG MGA - MGA Twin Cam Engine Parts Wanted
Gents, I'm in need of the following good serviceable mga twin cam engine parts. On the off chance some of you pushrod guys might have some of these parts, I'm after: AEH619 Jack Shaft or 1/2 speed shaft AEH620 Oil pump drive gear + Spacer Tensioner & Gear & Oil Feed Tube Small Gear Left Side with Spindle bolt AEH427 Oil Thrower Gears on the end of the Jack Shaft Gear on the end of the Crank AEH334 Damper + Bracket Basically all the parts that go inside the front timing cover, I may have left some off or incorrectly described them correctly. Please contact me off list with what you have available and the price you require. A photo of the part is also most useful. Many Thanks Mark. |

Well I've unearthed an inlet manifold and a gearbox thus far, but none of the engine parts I'm looking for as yet. Take a look in your garages over the weekend chaps and let me know what you unearth. Have a good weekend Mark. |

I know that Lawrenz makes the gears |

You could consider fitting the Hi gear 5 speed gearbox conversion or something similar. The twin cam sounds to be the ideal mga for it with all that extra power. It would drop the revs significantly and probably give you much longer engine life. The downside is the price, £725! but it is brilliant in my 1950cc mgb engined mga. all the best with your project. cheers colyn |

The gear box is the same as regular MGA, they just used s slightly different case for it - as you are trying to race (I believe) originality won't be a big deal for you. Most people wouldn't know the difference anyway. |

This is as far as I've got thus far. See Attached. So still some way to go. No thanks for the 5 speed. It's not like we have Healey's with 3 speeds. Someone must have tried the MX5 6 speed by now. Good luck selling your gearbox Barry. Cheers Mark. |
