MG MGA - MGA wiper motor
Anyone have someone who can rebuild my wiper motor ('62 MGA 1600 MkII) -- the motor finally gave up the ghost. Found the wire that runs from the park cap to terminal #2 was rotted and replaced it but the motor still won't run. If I can't find someone to fix/rebuild it I suppose I'll give it a try but would rather farm this one out. Thanks in advance! A. |

Lmazoway, Thanks-- I've dropped him an email just now to get an estimate. (where in Maine? I grew up in Kittery) |

York. Laurie rebuilt mine for $ 100. (Ithink it is $ 85 plus $15 for shipping) He said it needed new brushes and that was another $ 20. $ 120 total. When I bench tested it when I got it back I thought it was dead. It was so quiet and smooth I couldn't even feel it running. Good luck putting it back in if your master cylinder is in place.
