MG MGA - MGA's for the youth of today ...

couldn't help but notice that a rather nice black MGA features very heavily in the music video for the latest song by the R&B artist AKON - musically not my personal cup of tea, but it looks very good and is profile raising with the young 'uns. I know the MGCC is keen to encourage a younger crowd, maybe this part of the way ahead?

In my experience music has always been synonymous with the MGA! From an early age I managed
to "create" music of some description in the MGA. It was a melodic and pleasurable experience!

I googled it and found the video - some interesting looking bodywork besides the MGA ( which also gets some exposure!) - and at least AKON isn't a rap artist .

The song is “Right Now (Na Na Na)" not bad quality for free video, even if you make it big screen. You may be able to find better quality somewhere else knowing the song name.

My son has just phoned me to tell me my car has just featured on MTV - having just seen the video. "your car is cool at last Dad!!" Last time I was anywhere near to cool was in 1964 when my Liverpool accent was in fashion.

Very few people know what my car is when they see it, but I get a lot of compliments for it.

What can I say, the MGA is one of the most beautiful cars ever built, and I'm not just saying that because I have one.

There is a feature on Disney Channel called "What a Life" It features Kids who have something extraordinary in their life. My daughter excitedly ran out and said "Dad your car is on TV" She had the DVR running and had recorded a "What a Life" episode. In the episode a Father drove his son to the airport using airport transfers tunbridge wells in a Red MGA. At the airport it showed the father was a corporate pilot who owned and flew a old biplane for fun. I tried to find the episode on the internet but could not.
