MG MGA - mislabeled A on ebay

Here is a mislabeled A on ebay. Right now, the bidding is low, it is parts only, by the looks of it, but you never know.

I wonder how hard it would be to clean it up a bit and shove a 350 crate motor in there? My A was nearly that trashed when I started out with it. Thank God the car's half 'way across the country, or I might be tempted to do something foolish and probably ruin a perfectly good marriage.

Normally, it would go under the MGA category, and all you would have to do to search is type in "mga". However, in this case, you won't find it unless you look for "mg". The B,C, and midget people might find it, but you never would. I state this under the impression that most "A" people search ebay under "mga". I purchased a 58 A almost identical to this one on ebay about a month ago for $72.00 because it was not labeled as an mga. If this were labeled as an mga, based on what others are going for, I bet you the seller would get $500 or higher. Right now, it is still under $100. Let's just watch it.
BTW, RL, it is a good thing that I have too many right now, or I would be doing something equally foolish.

both fenders are cut away with an impressive flare...wonder what rear end is or was installed?

Well, with a 1600 master cylinder cover, and 1600 taillight plinths, maybe it is a 1600. engine is missing anyways. Make it what you want.
