MG MGA - Need MGA Disk Brake King Pins & Calipers

Where could I find the disk brake assembly, (kingpins, etc) for the 62 MGA?
I am of course looking for used parts, since new are no longer availabe,
Hubs, disks, are available.

At a minimium I need the King Pins with the bracket for the calipers. The calipers could be replaced by MGB ones with the bracket from Moss.

As much of the original as possible would be appreciated.

I have a set without the calliper bracket. They are in good condition, with trunnions too.

Don, I think I can find a pair of caliper brackets, but I am away until 6th August

Don, unless this is a showcar, why not use the MGB components- uprights, calipers, rotors and so on? Cost less, easier to find and the conversion has been done many times as outlined on Barney's site.

Conversion of MGA 1500 to the MGA 1600 type disk brakes is a simple bolt-on operation. Keep the original swivel pins and links and knuckle (bearing spindle). Remove drum brakes and backing plate. Install caliper bracket, rotor, caliper, matching hose and steel pipe, all standard MGA 1600 parts. You can remove the guide pin from center of the MGA caliper bores to use the cheaper MGB pistons. MGA parts are not made of Unobtanium (yet).

When I made this conversion years ago, I also had to change the tabs on the chassis to the 1600 style and weld them to the 1600 locations for proper location of the 1600 steel brake pipes and movement of the caliper flexible hoses. Eclectic Motorworks can supply the tabs:

If you can find a set, it's also a good idea to fit a set of the later fitted Mk II disk brake dust covers to help minimize wear of the inner brake pads.

When fitting dust covers, don't forget the special spacer washers need to be fitted as well.
