MG MGA - Need some information
| I am dropping over from the MGB BBS with a request for some information that someone with a MGA parts manual can provide if they will. As most of you know, the MGA was that last of the MGs to have a "fly-off" hand brake, or so we all thought. Turns out that the pawl and operating rod for a fly-off hand brake for the MGB was, at one time available from the BMC competition department, so there are the odd MGB out there with a fly-off hand brake. The part numbers for the pawl and operating rod respectively were AHH 7223 (or AHN 7223) and AHH 7222 (or AHN 7222). My question is, do any of these part numbers match the numbers for the pawl and operating rod on the MGA hand brake? I promise that if they do, I won't come over to your home in the dark of night and rip off your hand brake if they do match, but you may find someone new bidding against you on any MGA hand brakes showing up on E Bay. Thank you - Dave |

| David None of the part nos match. But looking at the MGA hand brake lever assembly, if you were to get one, it would most probably be able to be fitted to a MGB. Pawl AHH5238 Rod AHH5233 Chers ian F |
