MG MGA - New 1622 Engine Block
Just spotted what is claimed to be a brand new 1622 engine block. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MGA-Austin-Morris-B-series-engine-block-MOWOG_W0QQitemZ180000764409QQcategoryZ27381QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Steve |

Steve, Looks nice, and if it is brand new, it is certainly worth the 10.5 pounds. It looks like it has ring wear in the top of the cylinders, however, although that could be cosmolene. I can't tell with a picture. |

Looks like an Austin engine without tach drive - Cambridge A60, perhaps? I thought they sold them as short blocks or as bare blocks, but not without crank and with bearings and pistons - looks like someone may have helped themselves to what they needed on another job. |
