I've seen this same car listed a couple of times before. I can't remember, but I assume the reserve has never been met and the owner is giving it another try. Maybe he'll get his price this time. I've got to agree, it's a very nice car even if OEW isn't my favorite. |

Very nice looking MGA. But I think that's actually NAFW. (New American Fridge White). |

You guys are a hoot. I've got to use the NAFW soon. Thanks for the laugh. |

Thanks for the laugh what's funny??? The fact that perhaps the car is not painted it's original colour. Dear me I know a man who is an MG nut and has a few extremely nice cars. His MGA has an MGB engine and is painted a Ford green, would you laugh at him too? We are slowly going further and further down hill! Knowing how unstable paint dyes are and how none of us have any clue as to what a particular colour looked like all those years ago, critising a car because of its colour is stupid! |
Bob (robert) I am turning? yes I once owned an MGWasp!! |
Bob (Robert), MG (Wasp), Having recently restored our OEW MGA, and having gone to the trouble of looking up the original paint code, then matching it to the original car (which we've owned since '68) I take exception to your comment that "...none of us have any clue as to what a particular colour looked like all those years ago, critising a car because of its colour is stupid" We not only have pictures of the original color (colour) but also matched it against portions of the body that were never exposed to the the elements. I prefer to think that is what "restoration" implies, not just "paint it white (red/blue/brown). Sorry for the rant, - Ken |

Having said all that, I still love this particular car. If I didn't have our '62, I'd probably bid on it - it is quite a neat MGA! - Ken |

Well loved car, nice and clean. I'm not sure the paint color comment was criticism. Probably shows dust a little easier than OEW. I'll bet it brings a nice price, better than it would in FMY (Fleishman's Mustard Yellow). I liked his comment about it not being a trailer queen. |

Sorry Ken but I am afraid colours fade whether they are exposed to direct sunlight or not and equally so do photographs to a larger extent. If you want to know how poorly we know the colour of cars years ago look at a field full of iris blue MGAs and see if any 2 are the same? Each owner will no doubt back his colour choice as you have done. That said Ken what about the man with a ford green coloured restored MGA is he also a joke and should be shot at dawn? |

Ken just needed to add. I am trying not to critise you because I believe you have done the best you can, I just think you are wrong. |

Bob (robert) - My comment on humor was Stevens mention of the New American Frig White.... Thats funny even if you are a MG purest. best and smiling (still) in CA |

So, $13,101.00 and didn't meat the reserve, again. I wish I could remember what it reached the last times it was listed. Maybe I'll keep a diary. Wonder when it'll be listed next. |

Hi guys... This A was up to around 15k last time on auction. The car is worth far more than its seeing on auction. I drove the car and its without a doubt the fastest non-race A I have ever driven without a super charger. I already own 2 As or would have purchased it myself. |
