MG MGA - Nice (expensive) MGA on eBay.
This one looks very nice:- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MG-MGA-1957-MGA-Nut-and-bolt-frame-off-restoration-none-finer_W0QQitemZ180007534249QQihZ008QQcategoryZ80750QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Not cheap for a 1500. Good price for a Twin Cam. Gotta wonder how the exhaust got so rusty after only 161 mile:- http://wholesalecalifornia.com/cars06/57_mga/51.jpg Must've been a lot of salt. |

A very nice car and worth every nickle. Bodywork alone for a show quality car would easily be 10-15k in California. Of course there is the value to demand ratio. A very nice vintage racer sold for 45k last year and it wasn't as nice as this car. |

Take a look at the routing of the rear wire harness and battery cable--dangerously close to the forward end of theright hand rear spring. Looks like a melt down waiting to happen. Don't mean to be overly critical as the rest of the car looks nice. |

A beautiful car that appears to have been very well done, certainly looks nicer than mine, but an "open check book restoration" that must have come up short the $75 for the center armrest kit. Nitpicking, I know, but if no expense has been spared, at least do a little research and get it ALL right. Clayton |

Nice car, but way over priced. Many incorrect details. Looks like its being sold by a restoration shop. You could get a much more "original" car for about half the price. Open checkbook? I'd say "more money than brains". GTF |

Overall a nice looking job although if I were going for top end restoration I probably would have repaired the tubular cross member piece in front of the transmission. I thought I would never see one in worse condition than mine. I thought my DPO was the only guy into four wheelin! |

Asking $29K for that car makes me think that my just finished 15 year restoration was not over priced when it appraised at $36K. I have the right spare tire cover, plated the filler pipe, had loop wiring clips on the front fender wiring and no fram damage, etc. I could nit-pick but--I don't care... The Ebay car is selling as a show car, I think mine is better-- but I DRIVE mine!! My car is a DRIVER not a trailer queen. I drove it to MG2006 and did a 100 mile drive in the mountains last weekend. So far 1200 miles on my two month old restoration. It runs great and I love driving it. An MGA is to drive and enjoy not just look at. Well nitpicken this car is a bit foolish,it is great. But..here is my observation on this "none finer" car. No rear trim panels behind seats, plain old plywood for the floors, not 7 ply birch, also it looks like nice paint, but the finish is not up to show. The reflections are a bit fuzzy.Show finished paint should reflect like glass, and I dont mean just base/clear systems. Anyway its worth what he is asking,as any of us who have do this type of resto know. |

Nice car. But if it's a trailer car for concours too many small errors. Nevertheless, better than what I could do. Most important it's another bit of heritage restored/rebuilt for a future generation to enjoy. Steve |
