MG MGA - nice MGA for sale
Hi all just pinched this thread from the midget site http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/MG/auction-183062842.htm I saw this one for sale before maybe a year 18 months ago, looks like tool kit still there lol Gordon |

$115,000? (NZ Dollars?) You could buy a Concours Twin Cam for less than that. I think that you will see it advertised in another 18 months. Mick |

Hi Mick, I guess it's value is that it is one owner, unrestored and low mileage and mint gordon |

I didn't realise the NZ dollar had dropped so much recently due to that nasty US sub prime incident! Apparently $1(NZ) = $0.34(Aust). Mike (I don't like white wall tyres, you guys in the north can go for it!) |

Mike, My calculator shows 1.00 NZD as 0.81 AUD. http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi The MGA price of 115,000 NZD is: 62,283 USD 77,738 CAD 93,562 AUD 42,280 GBP 46,866 EURO Mick |

Hi Mick that is frightening, I guess I won't be allowed that one Gordon |

We discussed this car here last time round. The "original and mint" green (no pun intended) engine put some people off. Obviously being pampered it has had lots of work carried out over the years, so not concours by any means, but is definitely a nice car. If in the UK I believe it might get half the price quoted by Mick above, from a reputable dealer with warranty. A private seller would be very lucky to get even near that. Neil |

I am more interested in the side story that comes out of this. It seems that our Gordon is still looking at MGA adverts. Is there another procurement programme in the offing in the Pugh household? Steve |
Steve Gyles |
Hi Steve , I think I must have been sleep walking, I don't remember looking, honest Gordon |

though there is a 58 roadster near to me which has been rebuilt, but not quite finished and I mean just some small items, I think the engine has been run and all overhauled, it came from the states, wife coming gtg lol |

Apparently, the seller has been watching Barrett-Jackson... |

All I can think of is, Gee Honey I really tried to sell it. |

Hi all, I think you may be right Gary they obviously don't really want to sell it, - Compare it with this one on ebay uk - listing number 370095889422. It has been for sale since last summer so must be priced too high at around £19k - but it looks mint if not concours. In a showroom a few miles away from me. Must go and see if it is as nice as the photos. |

Cam, that's a nice looking car...and it's first registration date is the same day as me (1959 01/1)! |
Andy Bounsall |
Hi Cam looks like a nice one, washer bottle not correct should be narrow neck but hey, I have the washer bottle but no car to go with it lol Gordon |

Hey Andy - slightly belated 50th birthday greetings - hope it was a good one - cheers Cam |
Cam Cunningham |
Thanks Cam. Indeed it was. |

$63,106.71 Is a lot for any A. I would sell my MK11 for half that and it is a fresh frame off on a rust free car. Car was first dissasembled in 72.

Lovely looking job RJ - exactly the same colour scheme as mine. And yes I think I might be tempted to sell for $30K too - cheers Cam |

RJ, that deep red leather goes great with the black paint. Going to be a very nice car! Don't buy your new grille from Jorge! |
Neil McGurk |
Today was 72f. Washed the car and went for a quick drive. As you can see the grill is already in. Just a few items to finish. This picture is from today.
