MG MGA - Oil pump drive spindle

Steve,
You seem to have a lot of contact with Bob West. Would you please ask him a question?
On the mga twin cam where does he fit the thrust washer for the oil pump drive spindle, above the gear or above the oil pump? Does he have the dimensions of the correct washer.The washer is shown as item 17 on the oil pump page of the Twin Cam Service Parts List (see image).
The MGA pushrod engine does not have this washer.
