MG MGA - Parts for a Judson Supercharger
I have bought one of above and it is on the way to George Folchi for refurb etc..Supercharger itself is complete but need to source some peripherals and get advice re following .... ...the air cleaner/filter ? ...crankshaft pulley wheel and belt? ...whether the Holley 1904 can be serviced by a coarse hand like myself ( I see the kits are for sale ) or is it a specialist job? All advice welcome? |

Neil, My only experience has been with the similar Judson made for the Volvo P1800, but I can speak to the question of servicing a Holley 1904 carb. It's a bit different to adjust, but the 1904 carb is single barrel and less challenging to get right than a pair of SUs. I don't imagine that you would require professional help if you use a good rebuilding kit, since all the wear parts will be included. Just keep careful track of the disassembled parts and their original locations and follow the instructions exactly. As for the parts you require, I'm sorry that I can't help. Ken |

Neil , I had my Judson rebuilted by George Folchi last summer and i am totally satisfied of his wounderfull talent to rebuilt it like new . He can supply the crankshaft pulley ,the spacer for the water pump pulley , the belts and the air filter assembly that you need to complete your installation . He is the right guy to know , he can help you with your need , just ask him . Just a note , you must have a match set of belts for the Supercharger . Jules . jdesb@videotron.ca |
