MG MGA - Queen's 70th Jubilee Car Run
One of the planned celebrations for the 70th year of the Queen's reign will be a special rally, consisting of 70 cars, encompassing the 70 model years of British cars, driving 70 miles from Bodmin to Penzance (extreme southwest tip of England). A 1952 MGTD will be first in line, and the last car will be a 2022 EV Jaguar; no listings yet to see if an MGA will be in the mix. Cars expected to participate include: Alvis; Humber, Austin, Armstrong Siddlely, Jenson, Rover, Lagonda, Rildey, Rolls, Singer, Vauxhall, Triumph, Wolseley, TVR and the aforementioned MGTD & Jaguar. Some slots are still open for the following model years: 1954; 1971; 1972; 1973; 1977; 1984; 1988; 1990; 1991; 1997; 1998; 2001; 2008; 2015; 2016; and 2017.
For our friends in the British Isles, anyone know if a local MGA enthusiast will participate? How about the mgtf, B & C years, as slots are still available. |

It would appear that a 57' MGA which was expected to participate in this event blew its engine, but there's still another "A" and a couple of Magnettes in the mix. Full list of participating cars attached: |
