MG MGA - Rear brake cylinder measurement

Hi all, could someone please tell me the measurement of the rear brake cylinder, that is the outside physical length, also ,to comfirm, the measurement of the rectangular 'slot' that the cylinder fits into.

Just measured a hole and it was 3/4" by 2 5/16"
