MG MGA - Rear Brake Cylinder Nipples
Hi All, I hope this isn’t a silly question but so far I have not been able to get a definitive answer. The rear brake cylinder on a Mk1 1600 (1960) has that bronze (or is it brass) v shaped fitting with a banjo bolt connected through the rear hub plate. It would make sense for the bleed nipple to go on the top and the brake line to bend round and fit in to the lower thread, this would allow any air to raise to the top and exit. Problem is the brake line kit I purchased (Moss) supplies lines only long enough to get to the top thread. Is this where they are supposed to go? Thank you. Roy. |

Top is correct. You might want to check the archives and Barney Gaylord's web site. There is a good discussion with photos: http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/hydraulics/ht112.htm Good luck, Don Carlberg |
