MG MGA - rear hub spacer dimensions needed
Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of the rear axle spacer (the one between the hub bearing and the axle flange on a disc wheel car)? My car needs a pair and I don't plan on spending $60 for a pair but can get my brother-in-law to make me up a set, just need dimensions regards mark PS is it the same as a banjo MGB? |

Guys surely someone must have one of these sitting on a shelf and could measure it up for me...please!! regards mark |

Don't have one out to measure, but Moss does list the same part number for the spacer on MGA and banjo type MGB disk wheel axles. |

I'll measure one for you in a few minutes... |

OD 79.84mm, ID 65mm, thickness 4.61mm Now I'm wondering why there's one lying on the bench when I just swapped the diff for a 3.9 one..... |

Dominic, how do you like the 3.9? Cliff(SC) |

Cliff Still not done much with it after fitting, have to bleed the brakes and clutch this weekend. I'm a bit tight for time as I'm all over Switzerland at the moment on business, and I have also promised to go and set up another Judson for someone this weekend. I also have to get my car into the bodyshop for a rear end repair after being shunted last year by another visitor here (no it wasn't Terry or Steve G). It's taken an age to find a bodyshop willing to do the work properly rather than just fil it and blow it over without removing the wing beading. It's going to be a big job as the whole of the rear interior and boot trimming will have to come out, plus hood frame and door shut plates both sides. Ho Hum. At least it will be ready for the first club event at the end of the month, for which Darian is joining us. |
