MG MGA - Rear Shocks query
My shocks are less than OK and I have been offered the following, are they suitable? They are marked Armstrong Patents made in Beverly England. The lever arms have 3943LH and 3943RH cast into them . Also the RHS one has the No.114 stamped on one mounting point and M5381RH on the other side. The LHS one has the same No.s but marked LH. I had a look at a MGBGT and they look exactly the same but are mounted horrizontally thanks |

5381 is a Morris Minor rear shock. It wont fit for several reasons. The bolt spacing is wrong for a start. The shock for an MGA is unique to an MGA, though you "can" fit one from a TF if you have a drill handy. Peter |
