MG MGA - resistor spark plug?

I have a pertronix ignitor and was told I should use a resistor spark plug with it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

It pays to run resistor spark plugs and/or resistor leads with electronic ignitions
The resistance prevents electrical noise/feedback getting into the electronic module and damaging it
