MG MGA - S U Carbs
When installing the carbs on my 1500 MGA I noticed that the front float chamber has a rear chamber lid . If I angle both lids about 30 degrees to the front of the engine the fuel line fits and all seems OK. I am wondering if I will encounter any problems in this configuration or should I be purchasing a proper lid for the front float? |

I have a similar problem on one of my carb sets. I can't remember but will check if it's two fronts or two rears and let you know if we can do a swap! |

Hi guys, I'd be interested to if you find out if have two fronts or two rears makes a difference. I have misplaced my carbs, and I'm fitting HS6 carbs, so I'm trying to get the proper float lids (to allow the braided fuel hoses to fit), but I can only find (I think) fronts. If there's no difference, I'll buy 2 and just put up with it not looking "correct". cheers, Grant :-) |

Hi Neil.. I was wondering if you ever got a chance to check if you had two front float lids or rears? |

Yes, two fronts! send a pm to neilmcgurk at hotmail dot com with your address and I'll send you one. Grant, there should be no problem with function, but will the lids fit? |
