MG MGA - Searching for a Rear Plate. Swap out?
Well, it looks like the rear seal is the way to go on my MGA after some logical thinking by the Guru. In order to do this, I will need to modify the rear plate to accept the seal. Time and money wise, it is best to source one from the US, send it to University Motors (I have a request in to see if they would do the work) and then have it sent to me. What I can do is offer a swap. Yours will be sent directly for machine work then to me, I will remove mine and send it back to whomever supplied the original one. If I can find one outright for a good price, I'll just send it to the machinist directly and hold on to my old one for some future project. This is something that really needs to take place right away as I will be 'away' for an extended time and would like to get this taken care of. Thank you all! Tom |

Brian, That is what I need. The 1500 low starter. I guess I could have added that to the post. Either way I will take it. I can pay now but can we wait until I hear from University Motors to decide on where to send it? $50 shipped to them is fine. Contact me offline and we can discuss the details of payment. ashgreenmga@yahoo.com |
