MG MGA - Seasons greetings

Merry Christmas to all BBS readers, particularly those who have responded to my sometimes stupid questions. This is one of the first sites I check each day, it is so informative and amusing, and I feel that I know you all.
Nigel Munford

Merry Christmas to you too, Nigel. Also to all others here. I also regularly check this site out first, and appreciate all the efforts of everyone here.

...and from here in Denmark as well.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

And all of you who can (if the MGA is not packed away) sit down in your cars, have a quiet moment away from the stress - close your eyes and think of the best ride of the summer - and have a dream of the trips to come.
Ole Aaen

No need to dream Ole, the benefit of owning a coupe is that I can comfortably drive it all winter long (whenever the salt is washed-off the roads).

Happy holidays to all!

Happy Christmas all.

You guys are the best. Thanks for another year of sound advice, humorous banter and information from MGA owners around the world. But most of all, thanks for the camaraderie and support that comes from kindred spirits sharing their knowledge and their passion for the MGA. Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Christmas too from the damp, squealing, but not yet white Stevieg MGA.

Merry Christmas to all from snowy Denver.
33" officially at home. Happy New year to all.
Looks like we wont be driving the A on Christmas day like last year. Maybe on New Years.
R J Brown

And a Merry Christmas and a glorious and prosperous year to you for 2007.

RJ, my son got out of Denver the morning that the snow started. He had considered staying one more day to go skiing with some friends!

It's 57 here and raining and I saw where that low that was feeding us the rain out of the gulf was the moisture that is feeding you the snow!
M Whitt

Merry Christmas from Santa Barbara where it is chilly these days at 67 degrees F. Blue skies and pretty high surf. It is my favorite time of the year. Stay warm and bundled up... Winter has arrived.

Merry Christmas to all.

Hi, and Merry Christmas to all.
If the little ones are up on Christmas Eve, they might want to see where Santa Claus is in the world.
NORAD, using satellites, high flying recon planes and ground based radar tracks him from lift off at the north pole and shows him as makes his way around the world. This is possible because Rudolph's bright red nose shows up very clearly on infra-red detecting satellites. As he approaches North America, Canadian CF18's escort him into the North American Airspace. The Canadian interceptors are equipped with special Santa Cams that clearly show him on his rounds- On occasion they have been know to actually capture a distant "Ho Ho Ho"
it is on:

Merry Xmas from the Great White North. Except it's not white at the moment. A green Christmas on the cards for this year. But freezing rain last night, just to make life difficult for last minute shoppers. 4" - 8" of white stuff forecast for Boxing Day to mess with the bargain hunters.

Derek Nicholson

OH NO
4-8 inches of the white stuff and I was having so much fun seeing how long I could keep my Coupe, out on the road. Normally here in Montreal it should have been put away at the begining of November. Oh well...C'est la Vie.

Mery Xmas...Joyeuse Fete...Happy New Year..Bonne Annee...Frieden...Frohe Weihnachten...God Jul....Prettige Kerstdagen...Feliz Navidad...Hauska Joulia.....Prosit Neujahr....Xpietoyrenna

Still Driving
Sorry Gordon but here in Toronto(Mississauga) it's only rain and 4C(40F). Sure hope to get another few weeks of driving in which should make the winter a lot shorter.
Merry Christmas to all.

I want a new axle for Christmas. One of mine broke in the summer and I haven't been able to drive the MG since. I started the engine yesterday (the sun was out!) and pined for a drive. Oh well, it'll be back on the road by spring.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Re: the NORAD web site reference---If any children are concerned that the military could consider Santa Claus a threat, please be advised that Santa's sleigh is equipped with an IFF
( Identification Friend or Foe) and that the United Nations Unified Rules of Engagement F.13.c.iii clearly
lists him as a Non-Hostile Cultural Icon, and is to be given clear airspace at an altitude of his choice, for either IFR or VFR routing. He actually would take precedence over Air Force One for controller priority...

David, what type of axle do you need? I have a new pair here that I have no use for. They are for wire wheel hubs, 10 spline I think.
Steve Simmons

Here on the north shore of Long Island the temp was 58 F yesterday on Christmas Eve. My son borrowed the A to take an old girlfriend who was back in town (she's now teaching in Germany) for a ride!

Merry Christmas and best Holiday Greetings to all!

- Ken

PS: Just booked a room for Key West for the April 2007 Regional and train accomodations to/fro Whistler for GT-32 :~)
Ken Doris

Steve, if David doesn't need your axles, I might be interested in buying them for spares, if they are 10 spline (1500) axles.

Sometime back in the 60s, my dad managed to break an axle shaft within a couple blocks of leaving the MG parts place in Seattle. He walked back, and they happened to have one so he was able to make the repair and continue on his way.
