MG MGA - Steel Wheel Hubs
Can someone help me with the difference between the 1500 (drum brake) and 1600 (disk brake) hubs for steel wheels? I am presuming that the attached photo is of the 1500 style. I am interested in a pair of 1600 style hubs for a conversion to disk brakes. John |

1600 hubs look much like MGB hubs, but of course they are different (bearing sizes and spacing). The disc bolts on from the back, so there is a machined shoulder and bolt holes. Also looks like a bigger version of the Spridget hub. Big trouble is - 1600 hubs are very scarce, since I think they came only on 1600 MGA, and the disc wheel hubs are NLA new. FRM |
