MG MGA - Steering wheel thread

Does anyone know the size of the thread that holds the steering wheel on? It is/was and adjustable steering column. Thanks, Tom

One came up on Ebay recently and I was tempted because someone in the past has used a cold chisel to remove mine and chewed it up. A 1 5/16" AF spanner/socket should remove it. It's a 28 series Unified thread on 11/16". I think you may get blank looks if you asked for one at your local ironmongers! .................Mike
