All who can or will drive you MGA on Christmas and write here about it. Merry CHRISTmas to all. |

Just returned from a spirited drive in the Twin Cam. The rather mild temps here today afforded high reving, cool runnings! Cabin heat was more than enough for a comfortable, top down spin around deserted country, curvy roads. Stopped at our mailbox and there inside was a discount coupon from Skip Barber. Hmm....more track time...heck, who needs a track when you have an MGA on empty public roads! Paul |

Hi RJ. It is mild in Kitchener Ontario Canada today, in fact it was above 0 degrees F ! Almost a heat wave! If my seats, and more importantly my floorboards were re installed I would have had no qualms about taking my A for a spin! Top down no less! Unfortunately my MGA floors are out for replacement. Unless I want to pull a Flintstone, my MG isnt going anywhere for a while. Cheers! GLenn |

No Rain in the San Francisco area today and it's around 60. Went to the store in the morning for things for the family. We got done with shopping early with the kids early, Around 3:00 we decided to drive over to the bay and cruise the neighborhood for an hour drive before it got dark. nice xmas eve fun.....if it's dry tomorrow morning I'll get another looooooooooong drive when I volunteer to get the newspaper. And if it rains I'll take the Mrs.'s MGB before we put the whole family in the big car to do the family thing. Safety First.. Happy Trails... Merl |

Actually, Glen, it's above 0 degrees C in Kitchener today, 4 degrees C or 39 degrees F. Didn't drive my MGA or MGB however, too busy preparing for 12 family coming over! |

Last week low was -15 high +6 today was 62, absolutely beautiful. This morning I took my father-in-law for a ride half way through he drove, I think it was his favorite Christmas gift. When my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter saw the car she had to go for a ride, I let my son drive her and his girlfriend around. Isabella the 2 1/2 yo still wanted to go again so I took her, my daughter, her mother, and my 6 yo son for a drive. My 15 yo daughter wanted a ride also so I sent her out with her grandpa, they both loved it. Then my wife and I cruised around for a while. I really need to use the car more often, it may not be practical but it sure is fun. Merry Christmas, Randy |

Hi , Went for a drive in my '60 MGA 1600 on Boxing Day (26th) Lovely and sunny when I left home, about 2degrees C - but found some light rain about 5 miles into the drive - just enough to wet the screen but not wet me - top down of course. Encountered some members of the local tractor preservation society out on the roads on their 50 year old machines doing about 10 mph - managed to pass them and gave them a wave ( not a gesture of abuse for holding me back for a mile!)- Cheers Cam (secretary of West Lancs MG Owners ( www.westlancsmg.co.uk) |

It was in the seventies here in Southern California on Christmas eve. Drove the MGA out of LA up the mountain roads north of the city. Bouquet Canyon Road is perfect for little british cars...twisty, scenic, and the SMELLS were intoxicating. Sage, pine and eucalyptus scents mingled with the rich gasoline smell of the engine and old leather and wool carpeting interior. Radio featured jazz from Prague on the shortwave band -- Miles Davis. As the sun sank on the horizon throwing the canyon into darkness, the new foglights I mounted lit up the edges of the rural roads and I motored safely back through the emptiness of the high desert. |

I knew there was a reason I live in Southern Calif. Should be a great day for a New Years rally. Well Steve Simmons. What time shall we meet! Our temp should be about 70 to 80 degrees and NO SNOW. |

Oh, stop that! It makes me crazy! Here in Germany 5 degrees below zero (23° F), snowing, bad salty roads and no prospects of an improvement. No chance to get the "A" out! |

You folks in California, and in other warm places on the planet (perhaps) dont fully understand how incredibly fortunate you are to be able to drive your MGA's all year round! Your MG owning friends in much colder climates, (myself included) are envious! Please DO enjoy your vehicles to the max, and please try to NOT take your beatiful weather or excellent driving conditions for granted! lol. Cheers, Unable to drive MY MGA for another 5 months, snowbound Glenn |

Not really Christmas... but I did drive the annual AntiFootball run put on by Martin Swig. Started in Sausalito at 9am in my 60 A roadster, competition windscreen (no chance of a top here) as soon as we started the skies opened up. We drove nearly 200 miles in major storm. 4 flooded creeks, 6 mud slides, 4 downed trees, one amazed Caltrans crew, 2 very wet but happy participants and a very soggy MGA. We had smiles and thumbs up the entire ride to keep us going. HNY from wet California. |

Skip: Makes driving a sport, doesn't it? I hope your car is mostly dry now, and your nose isn't running. |

Christmas was kinda wet and rainy here--but today's a perfect seventy degree, sunny day. Just got back from running a pack of errands, the long way around. |

Went to Christmas eve service at -4C with the roof down (it was dry) which got lots of approving laughs in the city, and comments that I must be mad from some of the other attendees. |
