MG MGA - Thanks to Barney and the Entire BBS!

It is New Year's Eve here in Tokyo and I was reflecting on the past year with my MGA, my 12th year to be exact. I have been regularly visiting Barney Gaylord's site since it was around 400 pages and this one since 2003.

I have received such great responses from this site, but I have received more than a fair share of guidance from Barney himself. He is always responsive and one of the most helpful and selfless person I have ever dealt with. Barney has guided me through so many trivial (and some not so) tasks that would have driven most crazy, but he is always willing to inject that bit of logic that we all appreciate. I am sure my case is not special, it just goes to show you what type of person he is.

I still remember the early morning trip he took to meet me in Indianapolis to deliver a gearbox that I deparately needed while I was back in the US on business. The best part was meeting face to face after so many e-mails and phone conversations and having a chat with me and my father over some burgers. Oh, and the gearbox is still going strong.

Anyway, enough chatter. Thanks to Barney and all he has done and will continue to do for the car community.
